Lost In Transition

trapezeI haven’t written a blog post since October.

It’s now the end of June.

Go ahead and take a look back, if you don’t believe me.

I’m a writer who hasn’t been able to write. I’m a motivator who hasn’t been motivated to do jack shit. I’ve been spinning, spiraling, falling aimlessly through space and time for months, and months, and more months. And time just keeps flying by taking no mercy on me.

How is it summer again?

Wasn’t it just New Year’s Eve?

I’m so disoriented. And I’ve been sooooo distracted.

Distracted by my own emotions… my insecurities, my limiting beliefs, the “crazy-maker” in my head (i.e., the ego mind).

I’ve been lost in transition.

It all stops now.

No excuses.

Change can be a challenge, but I’m making a choice.

I’m choosing me… my wants, my needs, my heart’s greatest desires.

There is only one constant in life, and that constant is change, so we might as well all embrace it.

There are always going to be tests. There are always going to be roadblocks. There are always going to be ups and downs. And there will always, always, ALWAYS be choices to make.

And the buck stops here.

What will you choose?

Because choose you must.

Will you make the choices that best express your truest, highest self?

Will you make the choices that will best reflect the light you hold within?

Will you make the choices that will best serve the world around you and those in it?

Or will you choose to continue to sit there with your head buried in the sand making excuses like, “I don’t know,” or “I’m scared,” or “I’m too busy,” or maybe just the ol’ trusty “I’m not ready yet”?

Either way, the choice is yours and yours alone.

It’s all about choices, you know, and when you really think about it, everything boils down to just ONE choice…

What do you choose to make a priority in your life?

What you prioritize really defines you as a human being (otherwise, you’re really just a human “doing”… sleepwalking through life). To deeply connect with anything outside of yourself, you must first connect with what you’ve got going on within… prioritizing and organizing. It’s about who you are and what only YOU can do in this world… what only YOU bring to the table. Your priorities rule your life, and ultimately your entire world.

So, let’s just get clear on one thing right here, right now… you’re NEVER going to feel “ready” and there’s never a “right” time. You are as ready as you’re ever going to be, so you might as well get off your ass, take that leap of faith, and start living the life that you want… now.

I mean for all of it and any of it. Everything you’re putting off for “when I’m ready,” or when it “feels right” is never, ever going to come. And if you keep saying, “I don’t know what I want,” I can promise you one thing… you will just keep getting more ways for you to “not know what you want” because that’s what you keep affirming.

The Universe is listening every time you say that you don’t know what you want, or that you’re too busy, or any other statement that you’re saying aloud (or even in your head for that matter), and it’ll just keep delivering you more of the same. Positive or negative, we are always placing our orders with the Universe with our thoughts and words, but most of us are doing so mindlessly. Why not be mindful of it instead?

This is just simply another Universal Law, people, and it’s as unwavering as the Law of Gravity. Whether you are cognizant of it or not, the laws are always in effect.

If you’re still thinking, “But I reeeeeally don’t know what I want,” well, you better figure that shit out. The cosmos won’t be on your side until you do. The Universe just doesn’t take kindly to those who don’t have a clear vision of what they want. Period.

It’s like being on the flying trapeze, momentum swinging you towards the next rung to grab onto, but you need to let go of the one in your grasp in to order to catch the new one. If you don’t know what you want, or are showing resistance towards what’s next (like fearing you’re not ready, or that the timing isn’t right, etc.), then the next trapeze won’t be lined up for you to catch hold of!

Trust me, I get it. I feel like I’ve been flying without a net for months now… I’ve let go of one trapeze, seemingly suspended in mid-air, reaching to grab onto the next.  I won’t lie… it’s terrifying.

What if it’s not there for me? Or what if it just won’t hold my weight?

But what if it is? And what if it does?

What if it’s actually right there for me, right where it belongs… strongly reinforced and ready to give me my next fantasticle ride through the air!

Truth be known? I kinda like it up here… you know, swinging through life without a safety net… I mean, I am an Aquarian (a fixed air sign) after all, so I’m at home flying high ;)

But, we all need grounding from time to time (the air signs especially!), so here we go…

You want the answer to just about every question you’ve got floating around in that pretty little head of yours?

Get grounded, go within, and truly listen to your heart. Get connected with your intuitive gifts (yes, you have them, we all do) and make choices… the right choices. You’ll know what the right ones are because they will resonate from deep within… they’ll ring a bell. And every time you start to stray from doing right by yourself, or by those who matter to you, I can guarantee you that The Universe will give you a swift kick in the ass, or a smack upside the head to get you back on track. It never fails.

It’s the depth of your personal grounding which will expand the depth of the value you have in life, and the value you are able to add to the lives of those around you. It is within these depths that you can support the lives of others with the gifts only you can truly bring to the table

And remember those tests, roadblocks and ups and downs I mentioned earlier?

Well, when you start stepping into your truth and taking steps towards the life of your dreams, those tests, roadblocks, and ups and downs? Get bigger (yes, you just read that correctly)! They can come in the form of challenging situations, or difficult people, or limiting beliefs, but no matter what form they take, I’m telling you, when you are getting close to up-leveling your life and you actually start facing the shit you need to face, they all multiply tenfold, and that is actually a VERY good sign!

It’s when everything seems to be falling apart that it will all start to fall back together again, the puzzle pieces of your life lining themselves up and clicking into place (the next trapeze ready and waiting for you to grab ahold of).  I pinky promise.

Listen, feeling your feelings is healthy… and it’s SO important to feeeeel! But holding on to your feelings for longer than you need to, qualifies as self-indulgence. Quit the “poor, poor” me crap, get up, dust yourself off and start moving forward.

We all weaken, and sometimes we fall down… the beauty is found in getting back up. I don’t know about you, but I’m not one to stay down for long. I’m up-up and away in forward motion once again … one aerial acrobatic feat at a time ;)
