Too Many Emails

Mailbox with enveloppesLet’s get real here. Building an online business (really any kind of business, for that matter) from the ground up is challenging. It can be frustrating. It can be defeating. It can sometimes feel like it’s slowly killing you from the inside out. But when it’s all said and done? It’s honestly totally worth it.

For every hundred “Hell yeah, Joy that was awesome!” responses that I get to one of my blog posts, or quote images, or just general rantings, there’s the occasional, “Too many emails.” that comes through.

Let me explain …

My tribe is given the option to unsubscribe to my email distribution list with every email I send. And it will always be that way, because if you don’t want to be here? Then honestly, I don’t want you here.

It’s nothing personal, I can assure you!

Then again, maybe it is? ;)

I am looking to connect with my TRUE tribe. I want the people following me, reading and listening to the message I’m meant to share with the world, and participating in my programs, to be the kind of kick-ass peeps I would want to go sit to have a drink, or go out to lunch with. I’m not interested in having anyone in the Nation with whom my words don’t resonate, because quite simply, I don’t want to waste your time, nor my energy.

Fair enough?

So yeah, it totally happened just yesterday. I sent out a sparkly little quote image that simply stated, “You are enough,” and someone chose to unsubscribe from my email list and leave the comment, “Too many emails.” (At least they had the right usage of “too” … ha! One of my  pet peeves!)

But seriously … it’s SO okay!

And it’s even okay that even some of my “friends” (I mean with Facebook, everyone is considered a friend these days, right?) have opted not to follow me too!

I’m not everyone’s cup of tea. I mean, I realize that may be shocking for those of you out there who are driven, excited about living your best life, and love to spread LOVE in the world, but it’s true! My message is clear and succinct, so it’s not going to resonate with everyone … it’s not meant to.

Again, I want to hang out in the online space with people who are like me and actually LIKE me :)

People who KNOW (or at least are open to the fact) that they have the power to live the most incredible and fulfilling life that they can possibly imagine.

People who RECOGNIZE that their thoughts? Totally become things.

People who SPREAD LIGHT out into the world and make it a happier place.

People who LOVE to tell those they love how very much they love them and give hugs freely (have you heard of the Amma, the Hugging Saint?).

People who SMILE, even at strangers, just because they can.

People who really LIVE LIFE to its fullest, because they recognize how fleeting it can be (the time is NOW, my friends).

People who ENJOY uplifting those around them, and don’t bitch and moan about every little thing (trust me, we’ve all got our own shit to contend with, so let’s all just agree not have a pissing match, okay?).

People who REALIZE that the energy they put out into the world, whether negative or positive, acts like a boomerang and will most certainly return to them at some juncture.

People who are NOT PERFECT and are STILL IN PROGRESS, because none of us ever are, and all of us always should be.

People who STRIVE to be the change they wish to see in the world.

So essentially, if what I share on the regular resonates with you, then please continue to follow me forward. And, if only some of it does? Then take what you like and leave the rest (you can always hit delete, or save an email for later, if you’re just not in the mood for my shtick at the given moment).  And if my message simply doesn’t resonate with you at all, then please simply unsubscribe. I don’t think you should have anything in your inbox that doesn’t make you happy ;)

As a once self-proclaimed perfectionist, I am not, nor will I ever be, perfect. I don’t pretend to be, and I’m done striving to be.

Today, I’m just being the best me that I can. Love me or hate me, I honestly don’t care, and it’s a truly very freeing place to be in. I’m real, I’m raw, and I might just get a little up in your face in an honest and encouraging way, if I think you’re not living your life to its fullest potential.

I’m just going to keep spreading my message of joy (and Joy!), love, peace, abundance, and overall wellness out into the world, and you can choose to take it or leave it. And if you’re a cool chick (like those with whom I mentioned above that I’d love to hang), then I have an amazing opportunity for you to work with me more closely on living the life you dream of. Just click here to check it out!
